This 8-day journey is designed for travelers who want to go beyond Japan’s familiar cities and discover a remote, subtropical world that still belongs to Tokyo. Combining two nights at sea aboard the Ogasawara-maru with three full days on Chichijima, the itinerary is ideal for nature lovers, divers, and curious travelers seeking somewhere genuinely off the beaten path.
Sail south from Takeshiba Pier across the open Pacific and wake up in the Ogasawara Islands, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site often called the Galápagos of the Orient. Swim with wild dolphins in the Bonin Blue sea, snorkel the coral reefs of Ani-jima, and step ashore on Minami-jima with a certified nature guide. Trek through the Gajumaru banyan forest, cycle the island’s quiet coastal roads, and end your evenings watching the sunset from the Weather Station clifftop before a night tour of stars, Bonin flying foxes, and glowing mushrooms.
With a dedicated guide on the island, a deluxe cabin on both overnight crossings, and comfortably paced days that leave room to simply enjoy the ocean, this tour offers a smooth and rewarding way to experience one of Japan’s most remote and beautiful destinations — perfect for travelers who want a true island adventure without the logistical guesswork.

Important Notes
If your inquiry is made within three months of your desired arrival date, the above prices may not apply. In such cases, we will provide a custom quotation based on availability and travel conditions.
The Ogasawara-maru is the only regular transportation to Chichijima and generally departs Tokyo once every six days, so travel dates are determined by the sailing schedule. We will confirm the available departure dates when preparing your quotation.
Marine activities such as the dolphin swim, snorkeling and the Minami-jima landing depend on weather and sea conditions, and access to Minami-jima is also restricted for conservation reasons. Alternative arrangements will be offered if an activity cannot proceed.
