This 10-day journey follows Japan’s cherry blossom season from the old capital to the mountains and on to the modern metropolis. Travelling in April, when the country is at its most beautiful, you will move gently between Kyoto, Hakone and Tokyo, with a private guide on your sightseeing days and unhurried free time in between.

Begin in Kyoto, where the hillside halls of Kiyomizu-dera, the willow-lined lanes of Gion Shirakawa and the vermilion torii gates of Fushimi Inari Taisha are framed by blossom.
