Eastern Japan Rivers & Onsen Experience
This 6-day journey is crafted for travelers who long to experience a quieter, more scenic side of Japan, where flowing rivers, mountain landscapes, and soothing hot springs take center stage. Beginning and ending in Tokyo, the itinerary weaves together iconic sightseeing with the timeless tranquility of the countryside, offering a refreshing balance of energy and calm.
Cruise along the Sumida River aboard a futuristic water bus, wander the historic streets of Asakusa, and step into the immersive world of digital art at teamLab Planets. Venture into the mountains of Hakone for sweeping views of Mt. Fuji from a ropeway and a serene pirate ship crossing of Lake Ashi, followed by a restful night in a traditional onsen ryokan. The journey continues to the hidden gorges of Nagatoro, where a graceful wooden boat carries you down the river past dramatic rock formations and peaceful shrines.
With a dedicated guide, seamless transfers across trains, cable cars, and boats, and thoughtfully paced days, this tour offers a comfortable and enriching way to explore both Tokyo and the natural beauty beyond it. It is especially ideal for travelers seeking a blend of cultural highlights and restorative moments in nature.
