This 14-day journey follows Japan’s Golden Route from Osaka to Tokyo during the country’s most anticipated season, pairing cherry blossom viewing with reserved seats at the Grand Sumo Spring Tournament. Designed for travelers who want depth rather than a rushed overview, it moves west to east across castles, ancient capitals, mountain hot springs and the modern capital.
Begin in Osaka with Osaka Castle, Shitennoji Temple and the neon canal of Dotonbori, then witness top-division sumo bouts at Edion Arena Osaka. Travel on to Himeji Castle and Hiroshima, where the Peace Memorial Park and the floating torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine offer a quieter kind of reflection. Kyoto unfolds over four nights with Fushimi Inari Taisha, Kiyomizu-dera, Kinkaku-ji, a maiko performance in Gion and a tea ceremony of your own whisking, alongside a full day in Nara among the Great Buddha and its free-roaming deer. From Hakone, cruise Lake Ashi and soak in an onsen ryokan before viewing Mt. Fuji from the shores of Lake Kawaguchiko. The journey closes in Tokyo at Senso-ji Temple, Tokyo Skytree and the celebrated cherry-lined banks of the Meguro River and Chidorigafuchi.
With a dedicated English-speaking guide, private coach and bullet train transfers, reserved event tickets and a comfortably paced daily schedule, this tour handles the logistics so you can simply be present. It suits travelers seeking one carefully arranged trip that brings together Japan’s seasonal beauty, living traditions and iconic landmarks.

Important Notes
This is a scheduled group tour with a minimum number of participants required for operation. If the minimum is not reached, the departure may be cancelled. In that event, we will notify you as early as possible, refund the tour fee in full, and gladly propose an alternative arrangement. We recommend keeping this in mind when booking international flights, and we are happy to advise on timing.
Cherry blossom timing depends on weather conditions, so blooming cannot be guaranteed. Sites marked as subject to bloom are included for their seasonal beauty, and we will do our best to guide you to the most rewarding viewing spots available during your stay.
Grand Sumo Spring Tournament seats are subject to availability at the time of booking, and tournament schedules and bout order are determined by the Japan Sumo Association.
If your inquiry is made within three months of your desired arrival date, the above prices may not apply. In such cases, we will provide a custom quotation based on availability and travel conditions.
